Dear Parents & Guardians,

My name is Ian McCray . You might recognize me as Stonegate’s 7th grade teacher. I have the honor and privilege to be your new principal. I am very excited to work with parents, teachers, and students to continue our G.A.T.O.R.S traditions.

We hope your family had a nice summer and welcome you back to Stonegate for the 2022-2023 school year. We can’t wait to see our Stonegate Gators back on the first day of school, which is on Monday, August 15th. The first week of school from August 15th - 18th will be minimum days. With COVID regulations still in place, Stonegate staff will be focusing on supporting the health, safety, and social-emotional well-being of all students and staff on campus. Below is additional information to help your family prepare for the start of the new school year.

CLASSROOM ASSIGNMENTS: Classroom assignments for 22-23 will be POSTED at the front of the school by Wednesday, August 10, 2022. If you have any questions concerning registration please contact the office between the hours of 8:00 to 3:30.

COMPANY NURSE: Last year, we used Company Nurse for the daily health screening. It is still recommended for use but at this present time, families do not need to show this at the gate when students arrive at school. Please use the QR code link to sign up for Company Nurse and select the Daily Reminders feature when registering if you want daily text reminders. Because only one phone number may be used per student, please show the same screen for each student in the family provided that they all have the same answers based on the daily questions in the screening.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: The first day of school will be on Monday, August 15, 2022, which is also a minimum day.

Bell Schedule:

• ●  Start Time: Breakfast is available to all students from 8:00 to 8:30.

• ●  All classes begin at 8:30

• ●  Transitional Kindergarten 12:20 No minimum days

• ●  Kindergarten - 2:05pm, (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday): Thur. minimum Day 12:30

• ●  First grade through 8th grade ends at 3:05pm Thursday minimum day 12:30

  ATTENDANCE/ABSENCE NOTIFICATION: School Attendance is important to student learning. If you know that your child will be absent, please call the Stonegage School Front Office (408) 363-5625 to record the absence by 9:00 a.m. We ask that you do not send sick students to

school. If you have any questions about attendance, please contact our front office at (408) 363-5625.

ARRIVAL/PICK-UP TIME: Safety is our first priority. Morning supervision does not start until 8:00 a.m. So please do not send students to school earlier than that time. School office hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Be sure to promptly pick up your child at the end of the school day as there is no after-school supervision provided. If interested in the CORAL program, please call the CORAL front office at (408) 905-7129.

STUDENT DROP OFF/PICK-UP: To aid in less congestion in the parking lot, please make sure to use the drive-through lane in the front parking lot for drop off and pick up. The staff parking lot is ONLY for school staff to park. Please note that there is limited parking on site.

SCHOOL BREAKFAST & LUNCH INFORMATION: Breakfast will be served from 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. All enrolled families will need to complete the Income Education Benefit Form online at www.fmsd.org. Thank you.
